The Philosophy of Accessorizing : Vol I

Dainty & Effortless

I think as we are just getting started, we should begin with something simple and ready for everyday life. I don’t ever leave the house without some sort of ring, earrings or necklace. I would feel naked without some pieces of jewelry. For everyday life and maximum convenience, I recommend choosing some tiny pieces that go with almost any outfit, but before we go any further, I have an important note.

In my personal accessorizing ideology, it is important we each find our own metal -- everyone has a preference: silver or gold. That’s not to say you are limited to one, I just believe we are more inclined to choose one or the other. For me, it’s gold. Every once in a while, I’ll pick up a silver ring or pair of earrings, but for the most part, I lean towards the gold spectrum. I personally think it looks better on me and adds to my aesthetic. If you aren’t sure which one you like better, that’s ok. Consider your skin tone or other characteristics about yourself. Some metals look better based on skin tone or eye or hair color. But, overall it depends on preference; over time, I think you’ll discover which suits you and your style best. (Also, I personally don’t like mixing metals, but if that’s something that intrigues you, I encourage you to explore that too.)

Adinas Jewels Safety Pin Earring

Anyways, finding a couple of simple pieces that you can throw on everyday is very useful. I wear the same tiny gold hoops and safety pin earring everyday -- they never leave my ears. I also wear my favorite little rings and layer a couple of necklaces (we’ll save stacking and layering for a future post). These are my go-to pieces that never let me down. It looks like I tried really hard but, I really didn’t put in any effort or thought; I just threw them all on! I have listed a few effortless accessories that you can throw on everyday! Simple, effortless daintiness in your everyday life will help to transform the way you and the people around you view your style. I think this is a first good step in your accessorizing journey. I hope this guide helped you grow your knowledge and you are able to find some reliable pieces that you can wear with everything!
